Sri Lanka strengthened its UK market presence at Source Fashion London 2026, held from 13 to 15 January at Olympia London, with a 20-stall national pavilion organised by the Export Development Board and the Sri Lanka High Commission.

The event followed the start of duty-free access for Sri Lankan garment exports to the UK from 1 January 2026 under the liberalised framework that permits 100% input sourcing from any country. The change is expected to enhance the sector’s competitiveness and export potential.

Sri Lanka also launched its new National Export Brand, Your Vital Island, at the exhibition. Selected Sri Lankan products were featured on the catwalk, and industry representatives participated in panel discussions, including a session on the use of AI in apparel design and production.

The pavilion showcased apparel, textile and accessories manufacturers, including SMEs, with the aim of expanding buyer networks and increasing export opportunities in the UK market.
