The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) has unanimously passed a resolution opposing the proposal to extend the retirement age of judges.

BASL President Rajeev Amarasuriya stated that the resolution was adopted at a special general meeting, reflecting the legal profession’s opposition to the proposed changes.
