The LPL franchise team ‘Galle Titans’ has been rebranded as ‘Galle Marvels’ for the 5th edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL). Issuing a statement, the franchise announced that the transformation comes following the acquisition of the Galle Titans team by Cricket Marvels LLC.

Joining forces with Prem Thakkar are the esteemed trio of ‘Patel’s’ comprising Malav Patel & Neil Patel from the Tattva Group, along with Himanshu Patel from the Aanya Properties LLC from USA. They are stalwarts in the fast-food and retail industry in the USA with over 250 outlets under their leadership. The Tattva Group's foray into cricket signifies a bold leap into uncharted territory, fueled by their passion for excellence and innovation. 

Prem Thakkar, the managing director of Thakkar Group of Companies, brings with him a wealth of entrepreneurial expertise from India. Renowned for their ventures in real estate across India and the UK, the Thakkar Group now sets its sights on the exhilarating world of cricket, promising a new era of excitement and innovation.

Meanwhile, the fifth edition of the Lanka Premier League will be played from 1-21 July this year, according to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
