The Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ministry of Transport have launched a joint program to implement new regulations for vehicles that transport schoolchildren. 

According to the State Minister of Education , Madura Senewiratne, the initiative is a response to growing concerns about the safety and condition of school transport services. 

The new guidelines aim to enhance the safety and accountability of student transportation nationwide.
