• Suspects found with heroin and gun

Two associates of the notorious organised figure and suspected drug trafficker known as ‘Karandeniya Sudda’ have been apprehended by the Police Special Task Force (STF).

STF personnel have seized heroin and a locally manufactured revolver from the possession of the suspects. The apprehension was carried out by the STF during a raid conducted on Saturday (31 August) based on intelligence in the Wathurawila Junction of the Elpitiya police division.

The two suspects were arrested for the possession of 1 gram (g), and 200 milligrams (mg) of heroin, aiding and abetting the possession of an illegal firearm.
