The Department of Meteorology has issued a warm weather advisory for Mullaitivu, Vavuniya, Batticaloa, Ampara, Trincomalee and Monaragala districts.

The heat index is expected to reach the 'Caution Level' in these areas tomorrow, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.

The public has been advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and limit strenuous outdoor activities.
