The Department for Registration of Persons has announced a temporary suspension of public services today (24), due to a system failure. 

The department issued a statement confirming that services at both the head office and all regional offices are unavailable for the day.  

This includes the one-day service for issuing identity cards that was scheduled for today. 

The department has assured the public that efforts are underway to resolve the technical issue promptly and to resume normal service activities as soon as possible.
