The Lanka Railway Controllers’ Union has decided to temporarily call off the 48-hour token strike that was scheduled to begin at midnight today (19).

The union announced that the strike would be postponed by two weeks to allow for further discussions and potential resolution of key concerns, including delays in promotions.

The decision comes after internal consultations, with the union emphasising that further action will depend on the response from railway authorities.
