Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were exchanged between India and Sri Lanka in the areas of power, energy, health, economics, IT, digital transformation, and defense cooperation, during Prime Minister (PM) of India Narendra Modi’s ongoing visit.
According to reports, these MoUs were signed by the Indian PM when he held bilateral discussions with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat today (5).
During this meeting, a trilateral agreement was also signed between India, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to develop Trincomalee as an energy hub.
