The Cabinet has approved awarding the contract to supply liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to Litro Gas Lanka for 2027 to OQ Trading Limited.
The contract covers the supply of 420,000 metric tonnes of LPG over 12 months from 1 January 2027, with a 20% variation allowed. A minimum supply of 336,000 metric tonnes has been guaranteed.
Four bids were received through an international competitive bidding process. The supply will be priced on a cost, insurance and freight (CIF) basis, at US$133.93 per metric tonne above the Saudi Aramco contract price.
