A shooting incident took place near the Batawala Pathegama Model Primary School in Weligama, Matara, this morning (27). 

Reportedly, two individuals on a motorcycle targeted an individual near the school before fleeing the scene. 

This incident marks the second time such a shooting took place in the area. 

However, no injuries were reported in this incident.
