The Ministry of Defence has announced that firearm licence renewals for 2027 will begin tomorrow (1 September 2026).

All individuals and institutions holding firearm licences must renew them before 31 December 2026.

The Ministry noted that possessing a firearm without a valid licence is a punishable offence under Section 22 of the Firearms Ordinance.
