Sri Lanka recorded tourism earnings of $157.1 mn in April 2026, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) said.
This marks a 38.8% decline compared to $256.7 mn in April 2025.
A total of 135,643 tourists arrived in April 2026, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
From January to April 2026, Sri Lanka earned $1,111 mn from 876,277 tourist arrivals.
This reflects a 19.4% drop in earnings and a 2.3% decline in arrivals compared to the same period in 2025.
