Four people were injured in a head-on collision between a van and a tipper truck in the Gadol Bridge area of Mawanella this afternoon (31).

The van was travelling from Aranayaka towards Mawanella when it collided with the sand-carrying tipper truck travelling towards Ussapitiya.

All four van occupants were admitted to Mawanella Base Hospital, with one reported to be in critical condition. Police are investigating.
