Postal workers across Sri Lanka are set to begin a nationwide token strike at 4:00 p.m. today (28), according to the Union of Post and Telecommunication Officers.
Union Chairman G.G.C. Niroshana stated that the strike is being held to press for key demands, including the immediate filling of staff vacancies and the resolution of salary-related issues.
The strike will officially begin at the Central Mail Exchange in Colombo and is expected to disrupt postal operations countrywide.
