Showery weather in the south-western parts of Sri Lanka is expected to increase over the next few days, starting today (19), according to the Meteorology Department.
Showers are expected at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North Western provinces, and Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Rainfall of around 100 mm is possible in some areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Showers or thundershowers are also expected in Uva and Northern provinces, and Batticaloa and Ampara after 2 p.m.
