The Former Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) Janaka Rathnayake will be contesting the upcoming presidential election on behalf of the United Sri Lanka People's Party.

The Secretary of the United Lanka Podujana Party, Nihal Premakumara Deshapriya, has placed the security deposit on behalf of Janaka Ratnayake at the Election Commission (EC) today (14).
