The National Council of the Apostolic Diocese of Ceylon (ADC) yesterday (20) congratulated newly elected President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on the appointment of the new Government, thereby honouring the mandate entrusted to him by the people. 

During a press briefing in Colombo, the ADC noted that Sri Lanka has much to offer in the areas of cooperation, reconciliation and understanding as much as it has the capacity to grow ever more in these areas. The Council, a statement issued by it said, remains dedicated to contributing to the Government’s efforts to foster unity, development, and inter-ethnic and inter-religious reconciliation.
