Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has strongly condemned Israel’s military offensive in Gaza, labeling it a "genocide against the Palestinian people" and a grave violation of international law.

Speaking in Parliament, Premadasa described Israel's actions including the bombing of hospitals and restrictions on food supplies as "state terrorism" aimed at civilians. 

He accused Israel of undermining the two-state solution and expressed condolences for the large number of civilian casualties, calling the situation a humanitarian crisis. 

Premadasa urged all who stand for human rights to denounce Israel’s actions.
