Department of Meteorology has issued an Amber advisory for rough sea conditions and strong winds in sea areas from Mullaitivu to Pottuvil via Kankesanthurai, Mannar, Puttalam, Colombo, Galle and Hambantota.

The advisory is valid until 10.30 a.m. tomorrow(03)

The department noted that winds could reach 50–60 kmph, and urged fishing and naval communities operating in the affected sea areas to remain vigilant.
