Former Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake announced his decision to resign from the position of Secretary of the Constitutional Council (CC) due to personal reasons.

According to Parliament sources, his resignation will be effective from 15 May. 

Dasanayake served as the Secretary General of Parliament for over a decade. He was appointed as the Secretary of the CC after his resignation from his previous position on 23 May 2023.
