Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya has called for greater attention to food security, water management and energy management in preparation for the anticipated impacts of El Niño.

Speaking at the Colombo District Coordinating Committee meeting, she noted the importance of planning ahead for potential weather-related challenges and their impact on key sectors.

The Prime Minister also stressed the need for energy conservation awareness programmes and efficient resource management.
