The Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development has introduced an online ticketing system for passengers travelling from Galle and Matara to Makumbura after the New Year period.

Passengers can reserve seats by scanning a QR code or via the official website.

Tickets can also be booked through the hotline 011 200 1266, the Ministry stated.
