Dialog Finance and Softlogic Retail Partner to expand smart device access through Lesi Pay

Dialog Finance PLC has entered into a strategic partnership with Softlogic Retail to expand access to affordable smart device financing through Lesi Pay, combining Dialog Finance’s digital financing capabilities with Softlogic’s established retail presence and portfolio.

Through the collaboration, customers will be able to purchase smart devices from participating Softlogic outlets and showrooms, using Lesi Pay’s convenient, fully digital financing journey. The initiative is designed to make essential smart devices more accessible to Sri Lankans while offering customers greater flexibility in managing the cost of ownership.

Customers can begin the process through the Dialog Pay app, digitally verify their eligibility and complete their purchase at a participating Softlogic retail outlet. By connecting a digital application and approval process with the reassurance of in-store service, the partnership provides a simple and convenient experience from financing to purchase.

Lesi Pay enables eligible customers to obtain smart device financing with a minimum upfront payment through repayment plans of up to 18 months, without the need for a credit card or guarantor. Its paperless application process requires minimal documentation, helping reduce many of the complexities traditionally associated with consumer financing.

Commenting on the partnership, Renuka Fernando, Group Chief Digital Services Officer, Dialog Axiata PLC, said: “Access to a smartphone is increasingly fundamental to how people learn, work, manage their finances and participate in the digital economy. Our partnership with Softlogic Retail represents an important step in making that access easier and more affordable. Through Lesi Pay, we are combining digital innovation with a trusted retail experience to give more Sri Lankans a practical pathway to smart device ownership.”

The partnership strengthens the reach of the Lesi Pay ecosystem by introducing the solution across Softlogic’s retail network, offering customers broader access to devices and financing under one roof. It also reflects the growing role of partnerships between financial services providers and retailers in developing more inclusive, technology-enabled purchasing experiences.

Ranjan Perera, Executive Director, Softlogic Holdings PLC, added: “Softlogic has always focused on bringing leading technology and high-quality retail experiences closer to Sri Lankan consumers. By partnering with Dialog Finance, we can provide customers with a more flexible and accessible way to purchase the smartphones they need. Lesi Pay complements our retail offering by addressing affordability while maintaining a fast, convenient and customer-friendly purchasing journey.”

Smartphone connectivity has become an important enabler of education, employment, entrepreneurship, financial services and access to public and private digital platforms. By reducing the upfront financial burden associated with purchasing a device, Dialog Finance and Softlogic Retail aim to help more consumers take part confidently in Sri Lanka’s evolving digital economy.

Lesi Pay is available through Dialog Finance PLC’s authorized partner network islandwide and participating Softlogic retail outlets and showrooms including Softlogic Max. Customers can begin their application by downloading the Dialog Pay app and completing the digital eligibility-verification process.
