Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana has joined the Kolkata Knight Riders squad in Kolkata, the franchise confirmed today(19).

He linked up with the team ahead of their match against Rajasthan Royals after recovering from a calf strain and clearing fitness tests by Sri Lanka Cricket.

Pathirana has not yet been included in the playing XI, with the team set to assess his match fitness during training.

KKR are currently at the bottom of the IPL table, still searching for their first win this season.
