A satyagraha by a group of Buddhist monks calling for the release of Venerable Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero is continuing at Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo for the 10th consecutive day today (25).

The protest began on 16 October after discussions with the Ministry of Buddhasasana failed to resolve the monks’ demands.

The participating monks have stated that they will remain at the site until Gnanasara Thero is released.
