According to an official gazette extraordinary issued by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, June 30 has been declared a 'Special Bank Holiday' in Sri Lanka.
The Prime Minister, who also holds the portfolio of Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, and Local Government, made this declaration under the authority granted to him by Section 10(1) of the Holidays Act, No. 29 of 1971.
