Sri Lanka to send 1,000 Nurses to Israel in 2026

The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) plans to send 1,000 Sri Lankan nurses to Israel for home-based jobs in 2026. 


Eligible candidates must have completed a nursing training course at the Bureau or a registered institution, hold an NVQ III certificate, or have at least 11 months of nursing experience. 


Applicants should be between 25 and 45 years old, have sat for the GCE O/L exam, and those who completed the Bureau’s English course with good language skills can also apply.


Successful candidates will receive a five-year visa and the chance to earn over Rs. 600,000 per month. 


This recruitment is part of an agreement between Sri Lanka and Israel, with 2,656 Sri Lankans already eligible and 107 professionals sent in the first two weeks of 2026.


The SLBFE emphasizes that all recruitment is managed through official channels in collaboration with the Population and Immigration Services Authority (PIBA) and the Israeli government.
