The Cabinet has approved issuing new circular instructions for admitting students from Grades 2 to 11, excluding Grades 5 and 6.

The decision aims to regulate admissions and maintain approved classroom capacity under the 2026 education reforms.

The move follows practical issues reported in implementing Circular No. 27/2025 issued by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education.

The proposal was presented by the Prime Minister in her capacity as the subject Minister.
