The Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board has paid Rs. 12.34 billion in crop damage compensation to 202,025 farmers affected by Cyclone Ditwah.
The payments cover paddy, maize, vegetable and other field crop farmers across the country.
According to the Board, Rs. 8.89 billion was paid to 116,278 paddy farmers, while Rs. 3.45 billion was distributed to 85,747 farmers cultivating other crops.
The compensation programme was introduced for damage caused by Cyclone Ditwah in November last year.
