Due to rapid e-commerce growth and rising imports, Sri Lanka plans to improve tax and customs processes.

Recent delays and costs have hurt consumers and small importers. 

The Cabinet approved temporary incentives and formed a committee to develop long-term regulations for smoother e-commerce trade.
