Four people died, and over 25 were injured after two private buses collided on the Dambulla-Kurunegala road in Thorayaya. 

Police stated that a bus traveling at high speed crashed into the rear of a stationary bus picking up passengers. 

The injured were rushed to Kurunegala Hospital, where three men and a woman succumbed to their injuries. 

Investigations are ongoing.
