The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a new national action plan aimed at addressing sexual and gender-based harassment in Sri Lanka, proposed following an evaluation of the initial plan implemented from 2012 to 2020.

This proposal was put forth by the President, and it aims to ensure a safe and equitable environment for women, men, children, and diverse gender groups, free from violence and discrimination.
