Sri Lanka Police have assured the public that their official website remained secure during the recent cyberattack targeting social media accounts.
The Police Media Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Buddhika Manatunga clarified that the upcoming ‘eTraffic’ app, available next week on the Play Store and Apple Store, prioritizes data security.
Addressing concerns raised by experts, Manatunga emphasised that no private data will be entered into the app, and all cybersecurity measures were taken during development.
Investigations into the attack, involving foreign operatives, are ongoing.
