Sri Lankan students will soon receive free access to Google’s Gemini Advanced research tools and other digital resources, the Ministry of Digital Economy announced. 

Deputy Minister Eranga Weeraratne, speaking at the National Artifical Intelligence (AI) Expo 2025 in Colombo, said the move is a “game changer” for the education sector, helping build AI capacity and enabling students to compete globally.
