Most parts of Sri Lanka experienced moderate air quality over the past 24 hours, according to the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO).
However, Jaffna and Puttalam reported slightly unhealthy conditions.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) is forecasted to stay between 58 and 114, maintaining moderate levels in most cities, though the two regions may continue to face higher pollution.
Authorities warned that polluted winds from the northern region could temporarily increase air pollution nationwide over the next few days.
The public is advised to wear face masks when possible, and those with breathing issues should seek medical attention if needed.
