Tamil Progressive Alliance leader Mano Ganesan has appealed to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake for an urgent meeting with political and civil representatives of the Malaiyaha Sri Lankan community to discuss post-Cyclone Ditwah recovery.
He said hill country districts were among the worst affected and stressed the need for clarity on the inclusion of marginalised plantation communities in relief and rehabilitation efforts.
Ganesan also expressed readiness to support initiatives aimed at ensuring safe land and housing for those displaced.
