More than 18,000 Dansals have been registered across Sri Lanka for the Poson Poya festival, according to the Public Health Inspectors' Union.
The union said 18,412 Dansals have been registered, with inspections scheduled for tomorrow (30) and 1 July.
Organisers have been urged to avoid using plastic, follow safe food handling practices and dispose of waste properly to help prevent dengue breeding sites.
