A vehicle driven by Muhammad Faizal, Member of Parliament for the Puttalam District representing  the National People’s Power (NPP), was involved in a road accident at the Bandarawatta bend in Chilaw. 

The vehicle veered off the road and collided with a wall, causing substantial damage to both the vehicle and the wall.

The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. yesterday (29). 

Reports indicate that the MP was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the accident. 

Chilaw Police are currently conducting further investigations to determine the details and causes of the incident.
