09 Feb 2026

Dialog Axiata PLC reported a net profit after tax of Rs. 20.8 billion for the year ended 31 December 2025, marking a 67% increase year on year, supported by higher core revenue and cost rescaling measures, according to its reviewed consolidated results released on 6 February.

The group recorded core revenue growth of 16% year to date, while headline revenue reached Rs. 179.6 billion, up 5% from the previous year, despite a continued scaling down of low-margin international wholesale operations. Revenue for the fourth quarter of 2025 stood at Rs. 46.5 billion, reflecting a 2% increase both quarter on quarter and year on year.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose 30% to Rs. 86 billion for the year, driven by improved performance across mobile, fixed line and digital pay television segments, as well as cost rescaling initiatives. The full-year EBITDA margin improved to 47.9%, while fourth-quarter EBITDA reached Rs. 23 billion, up 2% from the previous quarter.

Operating free cash flow more than doubled during the year, reaching Rs. 49.3 billion, reflecting stronger operational performance.

Based on its financial results and projected investment requirements, the board of directors resolved to propose a dividend of Rs. 1.50 per share to ordinary shareholders, subject to approval at the company’s annual general meeting. If approved, the dividend would represent a yield of 5% based on the FY2025 closing share price.

At the company level, Dialog Axiata PLC accounted for 76% of group revenue and 74% of group EBITDA. Company revenue increased 18% to Rs. 135.8 billion, while EBITDA rose 32% to Rs. 63.6 billion. Net profit after tax at company level amounted to Rs. 15.6 billion, up 41% year on year. Fourth-quarter revenue declined marginally to Rs. 34.8 billion due to a reclassification of hubbing revenue, while earnings were affected by network restoration costs and cyclone-related donations.

Dialog Television reported revenue of Rs. 12.9 billion for FY2025, up 4%, with EBITDA increasing 26% to Rs. 2.7 billion, although the segment recorded a net loss of Rs. 0.7 billion. Dialog Broadband Networks posted revenue of Rs. 35.5 billion, down 28% year on year following the scaling down of international wholesale operations, while EBITDA increased 29% to Rs. 19.6 billion, supported by lower costs.

During the year, the group remitted Rs. 54.7 billion to the Government of Sri Lanka in direct taxes and consumption levies. Capital expenditure amounted to Rs. 20.2 billion, equivalent to 11% of revenue, largely directed toward broadband infrastructure investments.
