The issue of Sri Lankans residing in Israel without valid visas was recently discussed at the second meeting of the Parliamentary Friendship Association in the Israeli Parliament.
The situation, which also affects other foreign nationals, was noted as a concern for both countries.
According to Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel Nimal Bandara, the matter has been referred to the Committee on Foreign Workers of the Israeli Parliament for further consideration.
The meeting also explored the possibility of providing training opportunities in Israel for officials of the Sri Lankan Parliament.
The discussion was attended by officials from both nations, highlighting ongoing efforts to strengthen parliamentary cooperation.
