The Italian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Damiano Francovigh met with Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya at the PM’s office yesterday (30).
During the meeting, the duo discussed key areas for enhanced collaboration, underscoring the longstanding diplomatic relationship between Italy and Sri Lanka.
PM Amarasuriya also emphasised foreign employment opportunities for Sri Lankans in Italy, particularly the role of skilled migration, and both parties discussed the role of supportive policies in attracting tourists and investors, and their contributions to economic development.
