National Drug Prevention Week commenced today (01) under the “A Nation United” national campaign.

The decision was taken by the National Operations Council of the campaign to strengthen action against illegal drugs.

The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government declared the week in line with Public Administration Circular 29/2025.

Awareness programmes will be conducted at state institutions and schools, targeting teachers, students and the public.

Authorities noted that legal measures and rehabilitation efforts will continue alongside the awareness campaign.
