President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has officially appointed Waruna Sri Dhanapala as the Secretary to the Ministry of Digital Economy. 

The formal letter of appointment was handed over to him this afternoon (13) at the Presidential Secretariat by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.

Waruna Sri Dhanapala, a seasoned officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service holding a Special Grade designation, had been serving as the Acting Secretary to the Ministry of Digital Economy since 29 November, 2024, prior to this formal appointment.
