The Department of Meteorology noted that a few showers are expected today (6) in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

Strong winds of 40–50 kmph are expected at times over the western slopes of the Central Hills, the Northern, North Central and North Western provinces, and the Ratnapura, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
