The Sri Lanka Navy has started building a new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Hambantota District General Hospital, enhancing community healthcare services. 

Launched on 15 January, the project benefits from Navy expertise and a generous donation from a Sri Lankan couple in the United States. 

Senior officials, including Commodore Aruna Weerasinghe and Dr. Asela Gunawardena, attended the ceremony marking the beginning of this significant healthcare initiative.
