Maldivian Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel met with Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today (29) during the latter’s first official visit to the Maldives since taking office.

Dr. Khaleel welcomed the President and his delegation, reaffirming the Maldives’ commitment to enhancing its longstanding friendship with Sri Lanka.

President Dissanayake echoed this sentiment, expressing Sri Lanka’s intent to deepen cooperation across a wide range of areas between the two nations.

The meeting was also attended by senior Maldivian officials, including High Commissioner Masood Imad and top Ministry of Foreign Affairs representatives.
