Sarvajana Balaya leader MP Dilith Jayaweera stressed the need for empowering women to enable their active participation in the national economy.
He shared this statement during a press conference yesterday (9), adding that the prevailing political culture exploits women for political gain, and called for a transformative approach.
Accordingly, he emphasised that women should be empowered creatively and given opportunities to become entrepreneurs, breaking free from traditional limitations to contribute to the country’s economic growth.
