Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bowler Digvesh Singh has been suspended for one match after receiving a 50% match fee fine for a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 during the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Lucknow.
This marks Singh’s third Code of Conduct breach this IPL season, taking his total to 5 demerit points, 3 of which were previously earned against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI). As per IPL regulations, accumulating 5 demerit points results in an automatic one-match suspension.
Singh will miss LSG’s upcoming clash against Gujarat Titans on 22 May in Ahmedabad.
Accordingly, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Abhishek Sharma has been fined 25% of his match fee for a Level 1 offence under Article 2.6, his first such offence this season earning him one demerit point.
