Three people were injured after a three-wheeler veered off the road and fell about 50 feet in Watawala today (20).

The accident occurred around 9.30 a.m. along the Colombo main road, and the injured were admitted to the Watawala Regional Hospital.

Police stated the vehicle was carrying a family of four from Negombo to Hatton, with the elder daughter driving the three-wheeler.

It is reported that she did not hold a valid driving licence to operate the vehicle.

The three injured include the mother and two daughters.
